No Baby Yet

So it's still a week until my due date, but I'm getting restless.  I had a doctor's appointment today, thinned cervix?  Yes (50+%).  contractions?  Yes.  baby "dropped"?  Yes.  dilated AT ALL?  No.  Hopefully this week I will have pictures to post of baby Eli, outside the womb!  I have another doctor's appointment scheduled for next monday, so everyone cross your fingers that I don't make it until then.  Seriously, cross your fingers. 

Friday the 13th Birthday

We celebrated Mike's 26th birthday on Friday!  There was sushi, thanks to mom who slaved, and of course, cake!

And of course we have Sweet Baby Violet - She's wearing blue just for uncle Mike.

I've decided that since Mike insists on taking pictures where he looks like that.....then I'm going to post them for the world to see.

There he is looking handsome, and normal.  Let me just tell you what a blessing MIke has been during this pregnancy business.  He is so attentive and supportive, and waits on me hand and foot.  He has made this as easy on me as anyone could.  I love you so much sweetheart, thank you for everything you do! <3

Four Weeks and Counting!

Let me start by pointing out the exclamation mark at the end of my title, what would be more appropriate is one of those nervous smiley faces.  I cannot believe that my due date is exactly four weeks from today, I'm sad to say that I am so not prepared.  Nobody get crazy and call child services on me, I just need a few strokes of paint and maybe a few nights when I don't wake up 13 times to roll over.  I have my "awkward" doctor's appointment on Thursday, so I'll hopefully have some info to share.......or keep to myself depending on what it is.  Hopefully within the next week I'll have some nursery pictures to post.  Keep in touch!

Recap

I've been MIA in the blogging world for a little while now.  Mike has made it possible for me to continue sharing my life with all you loyal readers, he found my camera cord yesterday!  Now there's no excuse for me to slack.  Well, on January 31st my wonderful sister threw a baby shower for me and, of course, went above and beyond my expectations.  She's such a show off.  Anyway, everything was perfect.  From the decor and food, to all the friends in attendance.  Cassie definitely outdid herself, oh and did I mention she did all of this with a 4 week old baby!  Here are some pics....

I had mentioned I wanted to use a bassinet......so Cassie bought me one. 

I got so many cute gifts, including some of the tiniest shoes I have ever seen!

Jay's birthday was earlier that week, here he is yelling at Claire after she told him the presents weren't for him.

He won't accept it.  He's two, what do you expect?

HOORAY for Pregnancy

It seems as though since I've been pregnant, things have been happening to me that I don't usually go through.  For example, I haven't thrown up in years (literally) and just yesterday I caught a nasty case of food poisoning.  I've never even had food poisoning before and I just had to get it now.  I don't want to sound like a Debbie Downer, but I've discovered I am NOT one of those people who like being pregnant.  I would even say I've had a pretty mellow pregnancy, no morning sickness and no serious complications, but still, the being pregnant part I could live without.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!  

It was Jay's birthday yesterday, he turned the big TWO.  The whole fam was there to celebrate, minus Whitney who will be gracing us with her presence Thursday night.  Jen and John made a wonderful dinner, we ate opened presents and had a great night.  Jayms was so cute and he quickly caught on to blowing out the candles.  He loved all the attention and all his gifts.  He is adored by all his crazy auties and we can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with this sweet boy.  We love you baby!
